John Anderson Honors The Delmore Brothers
At Country Music Hall of Fame Event, Dec. 17

Nashville - John Anderson will perform and reminisce at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Ford Theater Tuesday, December 17, at ceremonies honoring the Delmore Brothers. Alton and Rabon Delmore were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. Members of their families will be on hand to speak about the influential musicians and to donate artifacts associated with their career.

Anderson’s connection to the Delmore Brothers arose through his songwriting association and friendship with Alton Delmore’s son, Lionel, who died last spring. Anderson and Delmore co-wrote such hits as “Swingin’,” “Girl At The End Of The Bar,” “Down In The Orange Grove,” “Low Dog Blues” and “Bend It Till It Breaks.” So close was their relationship that Anderson dedicated his latest album “Anthology” (just released) to Lionel Delmore.
